How we make apps
One problem per app
Every app does one job. If we can't say what it does in one sentence, we don't ship it.
Arabic is first-class
Our apps are designed for Arabic and right-to-left from the start, not translated at the end.
Calm and private
No dark patterns and no noise. We collect only what an app needs to work.
The people behind LifeKit
LifeKit is a small team of makers who design, build and ship every app themselves.

Muhammad Zekry
Co-founder & developer
Muhammad has spent more than 12 years building digital products for Arabic-speaking users. He started at Baidu in Cairo, first localizing its products from Chinese into Arabic and English and later leading Hao123 Egypt to one of the country's five most-visited websites. He was on the founding team of Huawei AppGallery in the Middle East, then Chief Product Officer at ONEMENA, where his Arabic content apps reached 5 million monthly users. He was OPay Egypt's first employee and went on to run its product lines, including a bill-payment POS used by more than 100,000 merchants. Today he is Product Director at Qi Card, Iraq's largest digital banking ecosystem. He speaks fluent Chinese, studied at Beijing Language and Culture University, and builds LifeKit apps around one idea: products made for this region, in its own language.

Basem Tarek
Co-founder & developer
Basem builds payment products, with a focus on card acquiring, card issuing, and the settlement and reconciliation engines behind them. He began in billers operations at Fawry, then managed delivery projects at DXC Technology and Network International before leading digital payments and cards projects at OPay. At geidea he grew from senior product owner to regional product manager. Since 2024 he has been Director of Products at Qi Card in Iraq, working on financial inclusion. He holds an MBA and a Professional Scrum Master certification, and brings an AI-first, ship-it-yourself approach to the LifeKit apps he builds.

Baher Hewady
Developer
Baher is a mechanical engineer from Helwan University who turned planning and data into his craft. He has worked across procurement at Giza Seeds & Herbs, materials planning at Marryat & Scott, and demand planning at Grinta, before joining Mansco (Peugeot Egypt), where he moved from senior supply chain planner to aftersales business planning supervisor. His day job is budgets, KPIs, forecasting and Power BI dashboards, and leading digital work such as the aftersales mobile app. That same habit of turning messy operations into clear, useful tools is what he brings to LifeKit, where he builds Smart Wasla.
